Geum urbanum L.


Latin name: Geum urbanum L.
Familia: Rosaceae
Croatian name: Zečja stopa
English name: Herb Bennet

A hairy perennial, 60 cm high, with toothed pinnate root-leaves, 3-fingered stem-leaves, and roundish leaf-like stipules at their base. Flowers small, yellow, with gap between the five spreading petals which are no longer than down-turned sepals. Fruits hooked, in a bur-like head. Flowers from June onwards.
In woodland and hedge-banks.
