Cardamine bulbifera (L.) Crantz

Name: Cardamine bulbifera (L.) Crantz

This is a herbaceous perennial plant growing from a scaly rhizome. Round erect stem can be up to 70 cm tall. The leaves are alternate, pinnate with uneven margins. The flowers are pale lilac in colour, having four petals. The flowers are gathered on the tip of the stems making a raceme. The plant reproduce itself also in a vegetative way by means of small bud (bulbila) placed at the base of the leaf.
The fruit is siliqua. It likes moist, fertile woodland soil.
